• Based upon the available facts, investigator are fairly certain that the victim had been targeted and this was not a random act.
• Suspects are: two white males, 20-30 yoa, dark clothing, one of the suspects displayed and also threatened victim with a handgun

Press Release

The Greenwich Police Department was dispatched to a private residence on East Elm Street early this evening around 5:30 PM. A Greenwich resident had returned home and found her mother had been forcibly restrained by unknown assailants. The victim,who was home alone, was surprised by a two white males suspects wearing ski masks. Upon entering the home the suspects demanded money and struck the victim in the face causing her pain and minor injury. Prior to leaving the residence the suspects bound the victims hands and feet.

It is early in the investigation with many detail to be worked out more is to follow in the morning.

The following new Police Officer will be sworn in as a member of the Greenwich Police Department on Monday, February 3, 2014:

Brian A. Andronaco, Jr.

The Swearing-In Ceremony will be held at the Greenwich Town Hall in the Town Hall Meeting Room at 11:30 a.m. and family and friends of the new officer have been invited to attend. A brief biography of the newest officer is attached.

He will be required to complete an eighteen-month probationary period commencing February 3, 2014.
